Called to Serve Moms in Need

In Spring 2022, the USCCB president and several bishop chairmen of committees serving women and families proclaimed “a vision for our society ... in which the legal protection of human life is accompanied by profound care for mothers and their children.” 

To help make this vision a reality, the USCCB Committee on Pro-Life Activities provides resources focusing on the message, "Called to Serve Moms in Need."

Walking with Moms in Need

Walking with Moms in Need is a process by which Catholic parishes and communities "walk in the shoes" of local pregnant and parenting women in need. Everyone should know how to help moms in difficult circumstances. While not trying to turn Catholic parishes into pregnancy centers, we can support local pregnancy centers where they exist, and we can also find and share other resources with pregnant and parenting women. And where there are few local resources, we can create our own, based on the gifts of the parish community. We hope you and your parish will join us!

The Truth About Abortion and Women's Health

This one-page resource dispels the many myths which claim restrictions on abortion will limit women's access to life-saving care. This resource can be printed in parish bulletins, included in newsletters, shared on social media, and more in order to help educate Catholics about these false claims.
